This is Charlotte, she is five and does not walk. She has very few friends. She goes to therapy 5 days a week. She was born disabled. Her condition is called schizencephaly, meaning while she was growing during pregnancy she had a stroke.
Causing big pockets of her brain to not form and fill with liquid. She is about two years behind kids her age.
She scoots around on her bottom.
Also she has limited usage of her left arm and hand.
She wears braces for her feet to stand straight, and some on her knees to keep them stable. She has leg tremors and her eyes bounce due to this condition.
Charlotte is an able child who wants to learn.
She wants to run and jump.
Charlotte wants friends but they are to active for her to keep up with.
Discovered this top hidden in the depths of the closet, and got inspired to put this outfit together. My mom bought me these fishnet tights earlier this week, which I layered over black pantyhose here. I think the pattern mix between the top and tights actually works out pretty well, haha. I always have such a hard time sartorially this time of year, as I just don’t like summer styles, but I feel like this outfit is fun while still being fairly comfortable for the summer weather here. As always, be sure to check out my blog,
