This is Charlotte, she is five and does not walk. She has very few friends. She goes to therapy 5 days a week. She was born disabled. Her condition is called schizencephaly, meaning while she was growing during pregnancy she had a stroke.
Causing big pockets of her brain to not form and fill with liquid. She is about two years behind kids her age.
She scoots around on her bottom.
Also she has limited usage of her left arm and hand.She wears braces for her feet to stand straight, and some on her knees to keep them stable. She has leg tremors and her eyes bounce due to this condition.
Charlotte is an able child who wants to learn.
She wants to run and jump.
